PETERBOROUGH NATIVE LEARNING PROGRAM offers FREE  Adult Literacy programs to adults age 19 and older!  Located in downtown Peterborough, Curve Lake First Nation, and Lakefield for your convenience!

Helping our clients reach their goals is paramount to us.

FIVE GOALS for our adult clients are:

  1. Apprenticeship
  2. Secondary School Credits
  3. Employment
  4. Independence
  5. Post Secondary

The City of Peterborough Service Grant

Literacy and Basic Skills (LBS)

Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities (MTCU)


  1. Know your Goal and begin a Plan for your future
  2. Call, email, fax, or bring a referral to Peterborough Native Learning Program
  3. Book a time to attend a 60 minute intake interview with our Executive Director
  4. Book a 3 hour assessment with our teacher (after a successful intake interview)
  5. Receive your assessment results and have a learning plan that same day

Your initial assessment results, your goals and the learning environment you need are the factors that determine where you will begin.
