is passionate about Adult Literacy Programs and offers them for FREE! PNLP clients are supported to reach their Literacy and employment goals by providing a welcoming, private, learning environment.

Peterborough Native Learning Program has experienced, Ontario certified teachers who bring dedication, expertise and motivation with them to their work every day. To quote the learners…

We have been fortunate to have had many outstanding teachers with us over the years and our current teachers are no exception. Our teacher at our Peterborough location is Veronica Burton. In the county covering Curve Lake and Lakefield is Grace Henry-Caron.

Our Support Staff are:
Donna MacKay, is the Executive Director . Donna maintains the smooth day-to-day running of this successful Adult Literacy Program. Donna’s strength is in supporting and assisting learners making them feel comfortable while being successful.

Jason Gilbert is our Administrative Assistant.  He helps out wherever possible, please feel free to drop by his desk to say hello!

Peterborough Native Learning Program offers FREE help for adults who want to improve their digital skills, portfolio and resume writing, reading, writing and math skills. Our services are FREE and confidential.

PNLP believes in “Learning For Life” whether to help further your education or your employment opportunities all for FREE!
We help our clients for FREE, from the ages of 19 and up, to earn their GED/Grade 12 equivalency, or up-grade their computer skills! We offer this for FREE. We help clients as they “Learn For Life”!

Peterborough Native Learning Program is an Incorporated Non-Profit Registered Charity that is guided by a Board of Directors made up of many cultures. We’ve been in operation since 1995.

We participate in the local planning process for the Literacy Ontario Central South region and have program membership in the Ontario Native Literacy Coalition.

The Peterborough Native Learning Program appreciates the financial support of the Ministry of Training, Colleges, and Universities, the City of Peterborough Community Investment Fund, the K.M. Hunter Foundation, Private Donors and the financial generosity of community members.
